Tony White, right, and friend Levi Maxey teamed up to bag their first bobwhite quail last December near Carrollton, Missouri, with father Bill White, a Missouri Department of Conservation biologist and regular Quail Forever Journal contributor. Mike Willkie and Vaughn Jordan scored their first pheasants last season near Roberts, Idaho. They recently joined the Jefferson County Chapter. Ben Sloan bagged his first bird this year along with his golden retriever Riley and mother Lisa, a member of southwest Minnesota's Scott County Chapter. Abby Travis, 11, and Gus with Abby's first rooster bagged last fall near Hoffman, Minnesota. Mitch Paige, 10, and father Mike with Mitch's first rooster taken near Colorado Springs, Colorado.
